ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In the last three years, a total of 2,390 Pakistani prisoners were released from Saudi Arabia while 426 Pakistanis were either released or deported from the United States, the National Assembly was told on Monday.
Sharing the data of last three years in a written reply to a question by Ms. Shakila Luqman, the Minister for Foreign Affairs Bilawal Bhutto Zardari apprised the House that as per the information received from our Missions, 870 Pakistani prisoners were released from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2020, 916 in 2021, and 604 in 2022, making the total number to 2,390.

The foreign minister further told that 426 Pakistani prisoners or individuals were either released or deported from the United States in the last three years.
Bilawal Bhutto apprised that 202 Pakistanis were either released or deported from the US in 2019, 207 in 2020 and 17 in 2021.
