KARACHI: At least 30 suspects including extortionists, political activists and other criminals were arrested during raids conducted by Ranger in various areas of Karachi.
The targeted operation was taken in Sindbad Goth, Lasi Goth, Mekasa apartment, Pakhtunabad and near Lasbela Chowrangi, Sindh Rangers’ spokesman said.
The paramilitary force also recovered arms from the possession of captives.
Meanwhile, an Imam of the mosque was arrested for allegedly having contacts with the banned outfit by police and Ranger in a joint action in a Karachi area.
Police and Ranger also arrested seven other criminals and recovered arms from their custody in various areas of Garden.
Similarly, targeted search operation was also conducted in Muhammadabad area of Gulbahar during which entry and exit points of the area were sealed. However, no arrest was made during the raids.
