ISLAMABAD: In Pakistan, 32 percent children of 5 to 9 years do not go to government primary schools at all, it was revealed in a joint report issued by the Academy of Education Planning and Management, World Food Program, UNICEF and UNESCO.

The report said that 45 percent of the government primary schools in Pakistan are without electricity, eight percent of the schools are without buildings while 35 percent schools are without boundary walls and washrooms.

It said that 17 percent of the schools only have one room where average number of teachers is less than three.
