ABUJA: At least eleven persons including five policemen were killed when two explosions occurred in Nigeria’s troubled northeastern city of Maiduguri on Tuesday, a foreign news agency reported.
A spokesman of Borno state police Gideon Jibrin said that three civilians were killed when a bomb planted in a vehicle went off, while 10 minutes after the first blast insurgents hurled a bomb at a police vehicle that left eight persons including five policemen killed.
