RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed the martyrdom of six Pakistan Army Officers and Soldiers including the Commander XII Corps Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali.
In a Twitter on Tuesday, the ISPR said that the wreckage of the unfortunate army aviation helicopter, which was on flood relief operations, has been found in Musa Goth, Windar, Lasbela.

The ISPR said that all six Officers and soldiers of Pakistan Army including Lt General Sarfraz Ali, Brigadier (Approved Major General Amjad Hanif), Brigadier Muhammad Khalid, Major Saeed Ahmed, Major Muhammad Talha Manan, and Naik Mudassar Fayyaz have embraced shahadat.
The ISPR said that the accident occurred due to bad weather as per initial investigations.
Earlier on Monday, the ISPR said that a Pakistan army aviation helicopter engaged in flood relief operations in Lasbela district of Balochistan had lost contact with the Air Traffic Control (ATC).
It said that six individuals were on board including the Commander 12 Corps who had been supervising flood relief operations in Balochistan.
