Kabul: 71 rockets fired from Pakistan landed in eastern Kunar province but no casualty is reported, claims Afghan Media.
Pakistan fired at least 71 rockets on June 28 that landed in eastern Kunar and it was a massive attack on Afghan land, claimed Provincial security chief, Gen. Abdul Habib Syed Khel while talking to Afghan Media. He further claimed that the rockets landed in Shegal and Dangam districts which incurred damages to the local residents. He did not disclose if the cross-border shelling incurred any casualties to the local residents; however, he said dozens of people were forced to flee their homes due to the shelling.
It may be mentioned that Pakistan Army is busy in full offense against terrorists in North Waziristan and other tribal areas bordering Kunar valley where Chief of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Mullah Fazluhhah is hiding.
