KARACHI, Pakistan: Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Religious Affairs and Auqaf Senator Dr. Abdul Qayoom Soomro has said that a museum will be established in the premises of the shrine of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar to promote Sufism.

Land has been acquired for the museum and a health centre for the devotees at the shrine, he said.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he said that more development projects have been planned for the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar to facilitate devotees.

He said that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had first initiated the work on shrine and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto continued the process of expansion and beautification of the shrine.

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)-led Sindh government would complete the inconclusive mission of Benazir Bhutto in this respect, he added.

The Special Assistant further said that thousand of devotees are visiting the shrine and providing them with all possible facilities is the first priority of Sindh Auqaf Department.
