SHARJAH: The overseas players are proving their utility in the ongoing HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) as on Friday Karachi Kings’ Ravi Bopara and Peshawar Zalmi’s Tamim Iqbal led their respective sides secure comfortable victory.
Especially when the event is set to enter in its final phase, the foreigners’ performance is even more required now with much consistency especially for teams like Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings and Islamabad United because they are struggling to place their position up in the HBL points table.
Players like Ravi Bopara needs to continue his brilliant all-round performance when his team Karachi Kings will take on Quetta Gladiators in the first match of the PSL in Sharjah on Saturday.
Whereas Lahore Qalandars will heavily once look to rely on Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Cameron Delport and Umar Akmal in its next match against Peshawar Zalmi tonight.

On Friday, Peshawar Zalmi beat Islamabad United by 7 wickets in the HBL PSL match and once again grabbed top position in points table.
While batting first, Islamabad United scored 152 runs for 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, Peshawar Zalmi with Tamim Iqbal’s unbeaten 80 runs achieved the target in 18.3 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.
Earlier in the first T20 on Saturday, Karachi Kings defeated Lahore Qalandars by runs 27. Ravi Bopara scored 71 not out and also took six wickets. He was given match of the match award.
