PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary Education Muhammad Atif Khan Wednesday said that government was introducing an assessment system of international standard to evaluate the performance of teachers and students in schools.
He was addressing a meeting of provincial government and British Council held here to extend cooperation in education sector.
The meeting among others was attended by Secretary Education, Afzal Latif and Additional Secretary Qaisar Alam.
Speaking on the occasion, provincial minister said that government was making incessant efforts to enroll each and every child in school keeping in view the importance of education in existing scenario.
He said that government is analyzing educational system of developed countries for implementation in public sector schools besides compiling the figures of school going children.
He said that government has planned annual inspection of schools with a purpose to monitor and check the attendance of teachers and students.
Briefing the meeting, Reprehensive of the British Council, said that we want to sign a memorandum of understanding for playing role in development of education sector adding that needed cooperation would be provided to government in this regard.
