ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Director Met Office Muhammad Hanif Thursday said that a new spell of widespread rains and thunderstorms was expected from tomorrow (Friday) in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper areas of the country.
According to Pakistan Television (PTV) news he said, isolated rains were also expected in northern areas of Balochistan including Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Sibbi and Naseerabad divisions and those would continue during next 24 to 36 hours in many areas of Balochistan.
He said the spell of rain would continue during next 3-4 days across the country.
To a question, Hanif said the rain spell would enter in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday night adding it would spread to Punjab, Sindh and Karachi as light rain was also expected tonight in all coastal areas of the country.
He said rains would also affect 50 to 60 percent areas of Sindh and upper areas of the country including Islamabad.
He said flood warning was also issued for northern areas of Balochistan Kohlu, Jhal-Magsi and Makran division. Flooding was also expected in many areas of KPK like Luki, Mardan, DI khan and Malakand division.
He further added that the areas of Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Bahawalpur, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sukkur, Larkana divisions and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) would also receive rains from tomorrow.
