AMMAN, Jordan: The Jordanian King Abdullah II on Tuesday appreciated Pakistan Army’s achievements in fight against terrorism and efforts to promote regional peace and stability.
The appreciation came when the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif called on him at the Al Husainiyah Palace in Amman on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest including enhanced defence and security collaboration and regional security situation in the Middle East.
Both leaders agreed that Pakistan and Jordan share a great history of cordial relations and deep rooted spirit of brotherhood which is transforming into enduring partnership.
Earlier in the day, the COAS, who is on a two-day official visit to Jordon, witnessed field exercise of Jordanian Special Operations Forces at King Abdullah Special Operations training center.
The COAS appreciated state of the art training facility and exchanged views with exercise participants.
General Raheel Sharif vowed to share and benefit from each others’ experience in counter terrorism operations.
