LAHORE, Pakistan: Former test cricketer Mudassar Nazar has said that discussion is underway with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) authorities to work with the board and no final decision has yet been taken in this regard.
“Recently I had a meeting with Chairman PCB Shehryar M Khan and I have yet to see the job description after which I will make up my mind to accept it or not,” he told media here on Tuesday at Lahore Press Club.
He made it clear that if cricket development work is not initiated in the national cricket academy at a large scale then he would not be interested to take up any responsibility in the setup of NCA.
“I am working with games ruling body, the international cricket council on cricket development in Dubai and I happy with my job there,” he said.
The former test cricketer said Pakistan performed badly in the T20 World Cup in India and if PCB does not pay attention to cricket development plans then results will also be bad in future as well, as far as the performance of the national team is concerned.
He termed the successful holding of Pakistan Super League a positive step which will help in improving Pakistan cricket.
“India has improved their cricket with Indian premier league as the local players learn a lot by playing alongside foreign and experienced players,” he said.
