ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain has appreciated the growing role of Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) in the country’s economic progress and development.
Talking to a delegation of SUPARCO headed by its Chairman Major General Qaiser Anees Khurram in Islamabad on Tuesday, the president said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will pave way for economic development of not only Pakistan but the whole region.
The president said that CPEC will create immense employment opportunities and other avenues for economic progress. He expressed satisfaction the role of SUPARCO in completion of all projects under CPEC.
Mamnoon Hussain stressed the need for optimum utilization of SUPARCO’s expertise in agriculture, water resources, healthcare, education, disaster management and environment monitoring.
President Mamnoon appreciated the space technology based support SUPARCO is providing to CPEC in major areas.
