KOHAT, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday announced that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would form the government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) failed to deliver in the northwestern province.
In his address to a large public gathering in Kohat where he visited to inaugurate Rs 3.9 billion worth gas projects, the prime minister said that the PML-N government would bring change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by implementing development projects in the province.
The prime minster said that the PML-N government was fulfilling the promises made with the people relating to development and prosperity of the country.
“Pakistan will soon become a prosper country as a result of development projects being implemented by the government, Sharif said.
Talking about the gas projects, the prime minster said that Rs 3.9 billion would be spent on the gas supply projects in various Union Councils of Kohat.
Nawaz Sharif announced that a highway would be constructed connecting Kohat, Jand and Pindi Gheb.
Moreover, he also announced establishment of a state of the art Hospital in Kohat to provide best medical facilities to the people. He said that soon Prime Minister’s National Health Programme would be launched in Kohat under which the poor segment of the society would get free of cost medical treatment.
The prime minister also announced establishment of Women Camps of Kohat University. He said Rail car service would soon be started from Rawalpindi to Kohat on trial basis.
In addition, he announced Rs 300 million for District Council and Tehsil Council Kohat.
The prime minister said that development work was going on speedily in the country and added that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would bring prosperity in the country.
Sharif reiterated that electricity load shedding would be eliminated by 2018 as a result of different energy projects being implemented by the government.
Earlier on his arrival in Kohat, the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra received the prime minister.
