ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The students of higher education on Tuesday demanded the Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC) Dr Mukhtar Ahmad for reducing degree attestation fee.
Talking to the state-run news agency in Islamabad on Tuesday, the students said that they had to pay heavy fees in the universities for education and afterwards they have to pay high charges for getting degrees and for attestation in the Commission, which they claimed was injustice to them.
They further claimed that despite charging heavy fees for degree attestation, the HEC officials delay the process adding that their behavior was also not appropriate with the students.
They HEC, they observed, was spending billions of rupees on higher education so the Commission should decrease the fees of degree attestation.
It is pertinent to note that the HEC is charging Rs 800 for attestation of original document and Rs 500 for photo copy of the public and private sector universities.
