ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday announced compensation money for the victims of Parachinar blasts.
In a statement issued by the PM’s Office in Islamabad, it was apprised that as per directives of the prime minister, Rs 1 million will be given to the families of those who were killed in twin blasts and Rs 0.5 million for the injured persons.
“The prime minister has issued directions to the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Iqbal Zafar Jhagra) in this regard,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, the Shia Community Continues its sit-in led by Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimin (MWM) for seventh consecutive day in Parachinar on Thursday wherein last Friday twin bombings claimed 75 lives.
The protesters are demanding the federal government to nab the culprits involved in Parachinar bombings at earliest and also ensure the avoidance of such untoward incident in the future. They have also lambasted the Country’s top leadership for not visiting Parachinar to condole loss of lives in twin blasts.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Secretary General of MWM Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari warned the government to meet all demands of the protestors of Parachinar otherwise sit-in protest would be expanded in every nook and corner of Pakistan.
“Our protest will continue as long as the heirs of the martyrs continue their protest,” Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari said while speaking to the protestors.
