ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The first Hajj flight carrying 328 intending pilgrims departed to Madina Munawwara from the Federal Capital in the wee hours on Monday.

The pilgrims were seen off by Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad and member National Assembly Standing Committee on Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony MNA Syed Imran Shah.

A total of 1954 pilgrims would leave from various cities to Saudi Arabia through 8 flights on Monday.

The State minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Pir Amin Ul Hasnaat Shah is scheduled to see off pilgrims from Karachi on Monday while Secretary Khalid Masood will see off the pilgrims from Lahore.

Likewise Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra will see off the pilgrims from Peshawar.

Congratulating the intending pilgrims the minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousaf said he was striving hard to ensure best possible arrangements as well as facilities to Pakistani pilgrims.

He urged the pilgrims to comply with the directions of Mauvineen e hujjaj and Saudi Authorities during their stay to make their hajj hassle free.

The pilgrims must play their role in further enhancing country’s prestige and dignity.

He said the offices of Religious ministry would remain open round the clock at Jeddah Makkah and Madina for facilitating the pilgrims.

A help line has already been activated both in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to register and resolve complaints of the intending Hujjaj he said.
