ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Vice Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that there is no external conspiracy in the decision of the Supreme Court in Panama Papers Case, and World’s leading powers have already declared it an internal issue of the Pakistan.
While briefing media representatives about a PTI Parliamentary Party meeting which discussed the Country’s latest political situation after Panama Paper Case verdict, Qureshi said that PTI believes in the supremacy of the Constitution and also wants to flourish the democracy in the Country.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the PTI Parliamentary Party briefly discussed the verdict of the apex court, its different aspects and also expressed satisfaction on the decision of Supreme Court.
The Vice Chairman PTI said that the meeting also discussed the ensuing election of the Prime Minister and role of the opposition in the Parliament.
Moreover, Qureshi told that PTI has nominated Dr Yasmeen Rashid for contesting the by-election in NA-120 (Lahore), the national assembly constituency which became vacant after the Supreme Court disqualified Nawaz Sharif under article 62(1)(f) of the Constitution.
Dr Yasmeen Rashid also contested the 2013 general election from NA-120 against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PTI) leader Nawaz Sharif but lost it.
The PTI Parliamentary Party meeting was presided over by the Chairman Imran Khan at Bani Gala in Islamabad.
