ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Arif Nizami has urged Information Officers to work with dedication in the discharge of their duties and facilitate media for free flow of information.
He was addressing the inauguration of Special Training Programme of Information Officers in Islamabad today.
He said in the past the role of information ministry was limited to information control and advising the media but now it facilitates in the free flow of information.
He said use of new media including internet and social networking should be adopted in order to effectively convey the official point of view to the masses.
