ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan and Iran on Tuesday reiterated to work in a cooperative framework to seek lasting peace in the region while catering for the sensitivities of each other.
The resolve was expressed when the Iranian delegation headed by the Foreign Minister of Iran Javad Zarif accompanied by the Iranian ambassador to Pakistan Mehdi Hoonardost held a meeting with the National Security Adviser Lt. General (retd) Nasser Khan Janjua in Islamabad.
During the meeting, both sides expressed their profound satisfaction over upward trajectory of improving relations between Pakistan and Iran.
They stressed on the importance of identifying and removing all the impediments to further improve the bilateral relations.
Besides all the bilateral issues, regional security situation was also discussed at length.
Common threats and opportunities were identified, and both sides reiterated to work in a cooperative framework to seek lasting peace in the region while catering for the sensitivities of each other.
