ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government on Friday designated Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan as the new Chief of Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), three days before the incumbent Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman is set to retire from his Post.
Air Marshal Mujahid Khan will take over as the new Chief of Air Staff of PAF on March 19, 2018.
Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan has served as the Personal Staff Officer of the Chief of the Air Staff. He has also served as the Director General C4 I.
Right now Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan is appointed as the Deputy Chief of the Air Staff in Air Headquarters Islamabad.
According to the Spokesperson of PAF, Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan got commission in the force in December 1983 and is recipient of coveted Sword of Honor, Best Pilot trophy and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee gold medal from PAF Academy Asghar Khan.
