ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: An earthquake measuring 6.4 at the richter scale struck parts of the Country including the Federal Capital on Wednesday; however, no loss of life or property was reported yet.

Sources said that earthquake jolted Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Malakand, Lower Dir, Hari Pur, Abbottabad, Shangla, Swabi, Swat, Chitral, Bajaur, Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan, Muzaffarabad and Balakot.

As per reports, earthquake tremors were also felt in Kabul and Northern India.

The epicenter of the earthquake was at the Afghan-Tajik border.

It was the earthquake that hit parts of the Country as earlier a moderate earthquake measuring 5.5 on the richter scale jolted Islamabad, and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The epicenter of the first earthquake was reportedly located to 30 kilometres from Bannu at a depth of 12 kilometres.
