OTTAWA, Canada: The first ever Muhammad Ali Jinnah Park will be inaugurated in Canada on Sunday (May 12, 2018).

The High Commissioner of Pakistan Tariq Azim Khan will inaugurate the Park at South Pointe Winnipeg as he will be visiting the Canadian Manitoba province on May 11 and 12 at the invitation of the Manitoba government and Pakistani Canadian Community, Winnipeg – the Capital of Manitoba.

The inaugural Ceremony will take place on May 12 (5:00 pm) at Tim Sale, Northern Lights, South Pointe, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah Park at South Pointe Winnipeg is the first ever public park in North America to be named after Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah – the Founder of Pakistan.

Credit goes to the relentless efforts of small and vibrant Pakistani Community in Winnipeg which succeeded in naming the park on Jinnah’s name.

The High Commissioner will also meet with the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba, Minister of Agriculture, Minister of Families, Minister of Trade and Minister of Education, the Manitoba government during his visit to Winnipeg.
