ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday said her name was not in April 28, 2017 verdict announced by the Supreme Court but Panama JIT intentionally dragged her into the case to teach lesson to the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

“My only fault is that I happen to be Nawaz Sharif’s daughter,” Maryam Nawaz said while addressing a Press Conference at Punjab House in Islamabad.

Maryam Nawaz said she wanted to tell all planning masterminds that she was strength of Nawaz Sharif.

“I stand with my Nawaz Sharif’s narrative,” she said. “I know case has been filed against me for standing against injustice.”

The PML-N leader said she was asked in the Accountability Court that why case had been filed against her?, She said she had recorded her statement in three days in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Court. She said 127 questions were recorded in the NAB Court.

Maryam Nawaz said everything was crystal clear in detail after the first verdict of Panama Case. She said neither she ever held any public office nor she did any corruption.

Maryam said Nawaz Sharif included FATA in the national mainstream after 70 years. She said Nawaz Sharif revived the economy, restored peace in Karachi, and made motorways and highways.

Earlier in the morning, Maryam Nawaz along with her father Nawaz Sharif and husband Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar appeared before the Accountability Court for hearing of Avenfield properties reference against Sharif family.
