PoliticsImran Khan won’t remain as PM for long: Saad Rafique

LAHORE, Pakistan: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader and member of the Punjab Assembly Khawaja Saad Rafique on Thursday said the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan reached the PM House by telling lies but he would not stay there for a long time.

Talking to media persons in Lahore, Saad Rafique said they were not making any forward block in Punjab.

The Punjab Assembly is electing its Speaker and Deputy Speaker today via a head-to-head contest between PTI-led Coalition’s nominee Chaudhry Pervez Elahi and PML-N’s Chaudhry Iqbal Gujjar for the Speakership. For the Post of the Deputy Speaker, Coalition’s Dost Muhammad Mazari and PML-N’s Muhammad Waaris Kallu are in the run.

Saad Rafique said a disqualified person was bringing the members to the assembly. He said the selection of the Punjab government and its officials was being made through horse trading.

“Now we will see the wall of which Governor House is fallen down or not,” he said.

Separately the PTI leader Mehmood-ur-Rasheed said while talking to media that the people of Punjab were made slaves by establishing a Family and Private Ltd Company.

Mehmood-ur-Rasheed said their focus would be upon bringing the change in the lives of Common men.

The PTI leader said after the election of the Speaker, a golden period would begin in Punjab. He said PTI would serve the masses as per their aspirations and trust.

“Our target is to provide clean drinking water to the masses. We will not make any forward block, PML-N has assured us of cooperation,” he added.
