ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged that expenses of the National Assembly should be cut down to a possible extent.

Talking to the Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser who called on him at the Prime Minister’s Office in Islamabad on Friday, Imran Khan said that the people of Pakistan have great expectations from the assembly of Naya Pakistan.

The speaker national assembly felicitated the prime minister on assuming the office and exchanged Eid Greetings. He discussed the legislative business in the assembly during the meeting.

Asad Qaiser said that all efforts will be made for smooth conduct of legislative business and expeditious resolution of core issues of the people.

The speaker said that they will meet the expectations of the people. He said that he will try his best to run the legislature’s affairs properly.

Meanwhile, a meeting of the Federal Cabinet will be held in Islamabad today with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair, in which future strategy of the new government in different spheres of life will be discussed.

The prime minister will also visit the Foreign Office before the Cabinet meeting where he will be briefed about the performance of the foreign office and Pakistani diplomats abroad.
