ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to coordinate with Islamabad police in holding an inquiry into the murder of Superintendent of Police (SP) Tahir Khan Dawar immediately (SP Tahir Khan Dawar).
The Superintendent of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Tahir Khan Dawar was abducted from Islamabad last month and found dead on November 13 in Afghanistan.
In a twitter message on Thursday, the prime minister said that the Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi has been tasked to oversee it with an urgency and present the report to me.
“Have followed the shocking tragedy of the murder of SP Tahir Khan Dawar & ordered KP govt to coordinate with Islamabad police in holding an inquiry immediately. MOS Interior Shahryar Afridi has been tasked to oversee it with an urgency & present the report to me,” Imran Khan said in his tweet.

The body of SP Tahir Khan Dawar was found by locals in Dur Baba district of Afghanistan’s Nangarhar Province on November 13. His body is yet to be received by the Consul General of Pakistan in Jalalabad.
