Following Prime Minister Imran Khan lashing out at the US President Donald Trump, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed has also categorically convened to the World that Pakistan’s honour and security will stand above all (Pakistan Army Chief).
“We shall continue to contribute towards peace in Afghanistan but Pakistan’s honour and Pakistan’s security shall always stay premier,” the COAS said in a statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday.
The COAS said that Pakistan has successfully fought against terrorism while also contributing to regional peace.
Reiterating the prime minister’s stance, the Army Chief also said that Pakistan has done much more for peace in Afghanistan than any other Country.
General Qamar Javed also maintained that we have paid the highest military, economic, political and social cost, and the World should acknowledge that.

The Army Chief’s statement followed a twitter war erupted on Monday between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Donald Trump over the latter’s remarks maligning Pakistan for doing nothing in return of billions of dollars.
Earlier in the day, the Foreign Office in Islamabad summoned the US Chargé D’ Affaires Ambassador Paul Jones and lodged a strong protest with him on the unwarranted and unsubstantiated allegations made against Pakistan by the US president.
