ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan has released Hamid Nehal Ansari, an Indian Spy who had illegally entered Pakistan and was involved in anti-state crimes and forging documents.
In a Tweet on Monday, the Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal said that Hamid Nehal Ansari is being released upon completion of his sentence and is being repatriated to India.

The 33-year-old Hamid Ansari was sentenced to three years in Jail on December 15, 2015 by a Military Court on charges of espionage and anti-state activities. Later he was imprisoned in the Peshawar Central Jail.
Hamid Ansari was arrested in Pakistan in 2012 for illegally entering the Country from Afghanistan.
Earlier on December 13, a two-member bench of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) consisting of Justice Roohul Amin and Justice Qalandar Ali Khan had directed the interior ministry to make arrangements for the deportation of the Hamid Ansari within one month of the completion of his three-year prison term on December 15, 2018.
