ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Journalists resorted to a strong protest outside the Parliament House in Islamabad on Monday afternoon after a security guard of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif subjected a Cameraman to a brutal assault.
The Samaa News Cameraman Wajid Ali Syed was taking footage of Nawaz Sharif while the latter was leaving the premises of the Parliament House.
Soon after the assault, the Cameraman went into unconsciousness and immediately transported into Poly Clinic Hospital.
Meanwhile journalists held Nawaz Sharif’s security guard and handed him over to the personnel deputed on Parliament’s Security.
Journalists also staged a protest a gate number one of the Parliament House against the violent act by the former prime minister’s security guard.

Meanwhile, the Spokesperson of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Marriyum Aurangzeb reached the Policy Clinic Hospital and inquired the health of injured Cameraman.
Marriyum Aurangzeb also assured to give justice to Wajid Ali Syed.
Talking to media, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs Naeem ul Haq condemned the incident outside the Parliament House, and said that a legal action is going to be taken against the culprit.
