ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that the isolation of Muslims by the Indian government is a matter of grave concern and it is the responsibility of the world to hold India accountable for the repressive actions against minority groups.

Talking to the outgoing Ambassador of Indonesia Iwan Suyudhie Amri at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Tuesday, the president said that India is increasingly becoming intolerant to Muslims who are being persecuted and targeted persistently.

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the need to further expand Pakistan-Indonesia bilateral relations in the fields of defence and trade.

Dr. Arif Alvi thanked the government of Indonesia for very ably steering the discussion in the United Nations Security Council on Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). President Arif Alvi also appreciated the contributions made by the outgoing ambassador towards improving the bilateral relations between the two brotherly Countries. The Indonesian ambassador also appreciated Pakistan’s role in successfully managing the COVID-19 pandemic.

The president said that Pakistan highly values its ties with Indonesia, and wants to further expand bilateral relations in areas of trade, economy, and defence.

Dr. Arif Alvi thanked the government of Indonesia for very ably steering the discussion in the United Nations Security Council on Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

President Arif Alvi also appreciated the contributions made by the outgoing ambassador towards improving the bilateral relations between the two brotherly Countries.

The Indonesian ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s role in successfully managing the COVID-19 pandemic.
