ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki met Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Monday.

During the meeting, the two dignitaries exchanged views focused on the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia bilateral cooperation and the prevailing COVID-19 situation.

They reaffirmed to further strengthen the strong and long-standing fraternal ties between the two brotherly Countries.

Separately, the Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser also met Prime Minister Imran Khan and held a detailed discussion on the Parliamentary System of the Country.

In his remarks, the prime minister said that the Parliament is important not only for the legislation but also for the continuity of democracy and is the Country’s largest Constitutional forum.

The prime minister said that all parties must ensure the sanctity of the Parliament and the observance of democratic values.

Imran Khan said that the people look to their elected representatives to raise their issues in the Parliament. He said that the Parliament’s real strength lies in serving the masses and upholding the Constitution.
