ISLAMABAD: A meeting held in Islamabad on Monday to review the load shedding was told that Finance Ministry has released 10 billion rupees to Ministry of Water and Power to reduce the power shortage in the country.

The meeting which was presided over by caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso also discussed the overall energy situation in the country.

Meanwhile, PM Khoso directed that all formalities pertaining to generation and production of 56.4 MW Wind Power Project installed by Turkish Zorlu Energy Group at Jhampir be completed without delay and it be connected to the national grid system within 48 hours.

Chief Executive HESCO Muzaffar Abbasi said while briefing the meeting that transmission lines have been laid out and are ready to transmit electricity from the Windmill Project to the national grid.
