Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has barred Ministries and autonomous bodies from issuing congratulatory advertisements.
The Prime Minister said national wealth should not be wasted on such advertisements. He warned of strict action against those of violating these directions.
The Prime Minister said the head of the department concerned would have to pay the amount spent on such advertisements.
He also sought explanation from President National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and Inspector General Motorway for publishing such advertisements.
