ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: As many as 268,236 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 across Pakistan on May 24, taking the total number of vaccinations administered so far in the Country to 5,843,059.

Meanwhile, the nationwide COVID-19 positivity ratio is continuing to decline gradually as according to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), it stood at 4.82% in the last 24 hours.

The latest statistics released by the NCOC on Tuesday morning showed that 46,726 people were tested for Coronavirus across the Country on May 24, and 2,253 of them were found positive.

However, again a significant number of 92 COVID-19 patients breathed their last in the last 24 hours.

Of them, 55 patients died in Punjab, 20 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 16 in Sindh, and 1 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).

To date, a total of 905,852 Coronavirus Cases have been registered in Pakistan. Out of them, 335,577 have been reported in Punjab, 310,557 in Sindh, 130,187 in KPK, 80,529 in ICT, 24,638 in Balochistan, 18,852 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and 5,512 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Likewise, in total 20,400 COVID-19 patients have died in Pakistan so far including 9,839 in Punjab, 4,936 in Sindh, 3,970 in KPK, 746 in ICT, 532 in AJK, 270 in Balochistan, and 107 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

So far, 823,157 people have recovered from the infection across Pakistan whereas 62,295 remain to be under treatment.
