Seven-Year-Old Hazeer Awan world Youngest IT Expert

LAHORE: Hazeer Awan from Pakistan’s Lahore city has become the world Youngest Information technology (IT) Expert by passing the exam of Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) at the age of 7.

Earlier, Arfa Abdul Karim Randhawa, another Pakistan student from Faisalabad, had an honour of becoming the world youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in 2004 at the age of nine years.

Arfa was invited by Bill Gates to visit the Microsoft Headquarters in the USA. Moreover, a science park in Lahore was named after her, the Arfa Software Technology Park.

In 2011, Arfa suffered from heart attack which affected her brain, slipping her into a coma. Later, she lost the battle of life at the age of 16 at the Combined Military Hospital in Lahore.
