PESHAWAR: Secretary Defense Lt-Gen (r) Asif Yasin Malik, during the hearing of under detention missing persons’ case in Peshawar High Court on Thursday, said that army never arrests civilians as police or political administration arrests those involved in an incident, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

A two-member bench of the court headed by Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan heard the missing persons’ case today.

Yasin said that Home Department of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has submitted its report relating to missing persons kept in the interment centers.

The report says that under detention missing persons are being shifted to Peshawar, whereas those who filed fresh petitions are not under detention in the centers.
