KARACHI: The paramilitary Rangers have arrested 44 suspected criminals in their raids in different restive parts of Karachi after they were given special powers to conduct effective operations in the city.
The Rangers carried out raids in Shershah, New Karachi, Surjani and other areas and rounded up 44 criminals, including extortionists, target-killers and gang war elements, the officials said.
The officials said that female Rangers personnel also took part in house-to-house search operation at violence-torn areas where the law enforcers were cordoning off entry and exit points.
