NEW DELHI: An Indian court on Friday awarded death sentence to all four convicts in the rape and murder of a 23-year-old woman in New Delhi on December 16.
The four men including Vinay Sharma, Akshay Thakur, Pawan Gupta and Mukesh Singh were convicted on Tuesday in the gang rape case.
The death sentence must be confirmed by India’s High Court. The men can appeal their case to the Supreme Court, and ask the president for clemency.
