Federal govt to seek help from political leaders for dialogue with Taliban: PM

ISLAMABAD: The federal government will contact the political leaders to help carry forward the dialogue process with the Taliban, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said in an interview with a private television channel, adding that this will help the process move forward speedily.

The prime minister said that he will talk to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan‚ Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman‚ Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-S) leader Maulana Samiul Haq and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Syed Munawar Hassan.

Nawaz Sharif said that if they make any breakthrough‚ it will be a great pleasure for him. He hoped that the government will now have the opportunity to move forward.
