KARACHI: Majlis-e-Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM) on Thursday announced to observe Friday as ‘protest day’ across Sindh province against the deadly bombing that left 48 dead and over 150 injured in Karachi’s Abbas Town last week, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

In a press conference at Karachi Press Club, the General Secretary of the MWM Allama Raja Nasir Abbas demanded early arrest of the culprits involved in the blast.

The MWM leaders called on the government to issue order for a Swat-like army operation in Sindh including Karachi to eliminate terrorist elements. “We have no confidence in Rangers and police. Army is our last hope,” Abbas said.

To a question about the party’s electoral alliance with other groups, the Shia leader said that it would be announced on March 17.
