JEDDAH: The prime minister’s advisor to on foreign affairs and national security Sartaj Aziz said on Wednesday that India is using its resources for suppressing the voice of Kashmiri people.

The advisor was addressing a two-day conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) foreign ministers which began in Jeddah on Wednesday.

Sartaj Aziz said that India is occupying the territory with a might of 700,000 troops. He said that custodial killings, fake encounters and disappearances of Kashmiri youth have become order of the day.

A number of Kashmiri leaders have been kept under house arrest and are denied passports, Aziz said.

The Pakistani premier’s advisor urged the OIC to keep a vigil on human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir. He also urged the organization to extend support to Kashmiri people for their right of self-determination.
