BHAWALPUR: Addressing a huge gathering of his workers, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Friday that he doesn’t accept the general elections held on May 11 last year and also urged Prime Nawaz not to play politics on the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of the North Waziristan tribal region.

In his address at the party’s protest rally held in Bhawalpur on Friday against corruption and the alleged rigging in last year’s general elections, the PTI Chairman said that Nawaz Sharif gave the victory speech on night the of May 11 on the instructions of a retd judge while only 15 percent results were out. He believes early announcement of Mian Nawaz Sharif to win the election turned the table against him (Imran Khan) and Returning officers all over the country became lean and stopped putting results in UNDP given computer system.

Imran said that the PTI is not derailing democracy but the mafia who has occupied the democracy along with family members. He successfully narrated how one brother of Sharif family is ruling the country as prime minister while next brother is chief minister of Punjab, relative Ishaq dar is Federal minister for Finance and daughter of prime minister is looking after a public fund of bullion of rupees.

The PTI Chairman said that he is giving one month to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-led federal government to fulfill their demands.

Imran puts demands which include:

  1. Who was the part of your early speech on the election day?
  2. On whose orders Returning Officers changed electoral lists?
  3. Why Returning Officers were not under the Election Commission of Pakistan & what was role of then Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary in May 11 elections.
  4. What was role of Najam Sethi in May 11 elections who was later rewarded Chairmanship of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)?
  5. Who ordered massive vote rejections?

Imran Khan announced that if the government failed to fulfill their demands, there would be a “Tsunami March” to Islamabad on August 14, adding that they will gather at least one million people in Islamabad on that date.

The PTI Chairman also invited other political parties to come on one point agenda i.e. electoral reforms, new election commission.
