RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The fighter jets pounded militant hideouts in Datakhel tehsil of the North Waziristan tribal region on early Wednesday, killing at least 40 militants including foreigners.
In a statement, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that five hideouts of the militants and an arms depot were also destroyed in aerial strikes.
The strikes which were carried out as part of the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb took place in Nawae Killi and Zaram Asar villages situated in the north of Datakhel.
