ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated in Pakistan on Monday with great religious fervour and enthusiasm to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S).

The Eid congregations will be held at mosques, Eidgahs, and open places in all cities, towns, and villages across the country.

In the federal capital, the main Eid congregation will be held at Faisal Mosque.

The faithful, after offering Eid prayers, will slaughter their animals to commemorate the willingness of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) to sacrifice his son Hazrat Ismail (A.S) in response to a command from Allah.
