VIENNA, Austria: As a couple of months passed since Samra Kesinovic and Sabina Selimovic joined the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) in Syria, the two Austrian teenage girls have started to regret their decision to join the militant group.
In addition, the two girls have managed to contact their families and Samra wants to return home; however, Sabina is not yet ready to return.
The Austrian media reports said that Samra Kesinovic and her friend Sabina Selimovic aged 16 and 14 respectively left their homes in Austria in April and joined the ISIS in Syria.
On their departure from Austria, they left a note, telling their parents: “Don’t look for us. We will serve Allah – and we will die for him.” They also reportedly married Chechen fighters after their arrival in Syria and became pregnant.
The reports said that both the girls are currently in northern Syrian city of Rakka and have established contact with their parents. The reports further said that Samra wants to return home as the horrors of Syria have become too much. However, Sabina is not yet ready to return.
