PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) has said that the process of returning temporarily displaced persons (TDPs) to their homes would begin by mid-March, according to the Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa.
On his twitter account, the DG ISPR wrote that the COAS visited the Corps Headquarters in Peshawar on Saturday where he was apprised of progress made in the ongoing Zarb-e-Azb and Khyber-1 operations.
The COAS was also briefed on the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA).
In his address on the occasion, the army chief said that there is also a need for coordination among all the agencies for dignified and timely return of TDPs to their homes.
The army chief said that the military operation Zarb-e-Azb will continue till complete elimination of terrorists.
Moreover, he appreciated achievements made by the armed forces in intelligence-based operations against the terrorists.
