ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa held a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan at the PM Office in Islamabad on Monday, and exchanged views on the security situation of the Country.
During the meeting, the COAS felicitated Imran khan for assuming the Office of the Prime Minister.
Both the leaders agreed to bring sustainable peace and stability in the Country. They also reiterated to continue with the efforts to establish peace in the region.

It was the first formal interaction between Prime Minister Imran Khan and the COAS after the former took the Oath of his Office on August 18 following his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) victory in parliamentary elections held on July 25.
Earlier the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Zubair Mahmood Hayat and the Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan also met the newly elected prime minister just two days after the swearing-in.
