ISLAMABAD: Attorney General of Pakistan Irfan Qadir has submitted a notification’s copy issued by the federal government for the formation of Justice Javed Iqbal Commission to investigate the mysterious death of NAB’s investigation officer Kamran Faisal to the Supreme Court, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on Friday.
A two-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Jawad S. Khawaja resumed the hearing of Kamran Faisal’s murder case. Admiral (retd) Fasih Bokhari, chairman NAB, was also present inside the courtroom.
Justice Khawaja, while commenting on the notification, remarked that it was merely an investigation commission, not the judicial.
During the hearing, K.K. Agha, NAB’s Prosecutor General, pleaded more time to remove objections raised by the Registrar Office. “We want to see justice happening in this case,” Justice Khawaj remarked.
Later, the court hearing was adjourned till February 11, while Chairman NAB Fasih Bokhari was exempted from in-person appearance. However, the court maintained that this exemption was just for one hearing and that the NAB Chairman would have to appear whenever summoned.
