LAHORE: At least one person was killed and 20 others injured when a blast occurred at a local restaurant in Food Street in Lahore’s old Anarkali on Thursday, reports said.
According to DIG Operations Rai Tahir, the blast was caused by Improvised Explosive Device (IED), but not confirmed whether the explosive material was remote-controlled or attached with a time-device.
The injured were being shifted to Mayo hospital treatment.
The bomb disposal squad and police reached the scene and cordoned off the area.
